I went to Home Depot yesterday to have a key made. They have this machine now. You stick your key in the slot. Pick which type of key your want and then watch as the machine cuts the key. After a minute or two the finished key drops down a chute.
That’s about the same amount of artistry and soul that goes into AI art.
A robot mourns the loss of the humans he replaced as he gazes out at the empty vaccum of space.
The above digital image of a robot in complete despair wasn’t created with AI. It was created from my imagination and hours of minipulating Adobe Photoshop.
AI art is the begining of the end of human creativity.
I’m watching “The Three Body Problem” on Netflix based on the excellent three volume sci-fi trilogy of books.
An alien race has escaped their dying planet and are headed for Earth. The catch is that it will take them 400 years to reach Earth and are afraid Earthlings will advance further themselves.
You see the aliens are currently more advanced than Earthlings BUT it took them a lot longer to advance due to the way their society operates – they don’t lie, they only think logically and are very binary. Not a lot of experimentation or curiousity.
So to slow down the humans, they mess with our basic science. Suddenly physic experiments no longer work on Earth.
It makes me think that AI art is some alien weapon sent to destroy human potential.
