Friday Night Cocktails: French Martini

One of our favorites when we go to our local steakhouse Jesse’s in Hanover, NH.  Jesse’s Steaks, Seafood & Tavern has been a dining tradition in the Hanover community for the past 38 years.  They have a great $10 martini menu and the martini glasses are oversized.  They also have a great selection of local craft beers on tap the pints are only $3 up to 6 pm.

As you can imagine the place is popular for happy hour with the crowd from Dartmouth-Hitchcock Hospital which is right across the street.

Jesse’s serves hand cut steaks and they grind their own hamburger.  Plus they have an excellent salad bar that includes peel and eat cocktail shrimp.

Ok, so on to the cocktail of the week, one we learned about from the Jesse’s menu.  We have a French Martini which features pineapple juice and Chambord raspberrry liquor so it’s a bit on the sweet side.

Tonight we’ll be making a slight variation because we only have Pineapple & Mango juice in stock.  But here is the traditional recipe:

French Martini Recipe

  • 2ounces vodka
  • 1ounce pineapple juice
  • 14ounce Chambord raspberry liquor
  • ice

Mix it all up, add ice, shake and pour into a martini glass.  Enjoy!
