My circa 1976 Bally Electro-mechanical pinball machine, Hang Glider came with some rather gnarly legs.
They were spray painted glossy black, old and rusty. I tried stripping off the old paint and soaking away the rust with Evapro-Rust to some success.
Then at some point, I said, enough of propping up the cabinet on milk crates, I wanted the legs on as I worked on the rest of the machine.
Once the legs were on it seemed really high so I measure the legs. Turns out the legs were 31 inch Gottlieb legs instead of 28 inch Bally legs!
So enough of that, I ordered some 70s correct Bally legs in the standard dark grey from Pinball life. They cost something like $14 a leg but they save you a lot of time in labor and cost of buying paint stripper.
