Thanks for the compliment Canon USA!
Always nice to get a compliment from the manufacturer of your camera and lenses. I’ve used Panasonic Micro-Four third cameras, Fujifilm cameras and a Sony compact camera in the past but my main camera is a Canon 6D full frame DSLR with an assortment of Canon Lenses.

I got the Canon 6D back in 2013, the first year it was released. It was a step up from my previous 16 megapixel micro four thirds camera and a step towards a more professional quality camera with weather sealing and a full frame sensor.
Over the past five years this camera has gone everywhere and has suffered a lot of abuse. One mixed up day after coming back from camping trip I laid it down next to the garage door to unpack and forgot it there overnight.
…my wife would kill me if it had gotten stolen…
I had two worries. One my wife would kill me if it had gotten stolen. Secondly it rained all night! I picked my Canon 6D out of a small puddle, dried it off and sat it next to a dehumidifier for hours.
It worked. Although I though maybe I’d see problems down the road if the insides had gotten wet and started to corrode. Three years later – no problems at all.
…A camera for all weather conditions…
And this camera has been through other extremes. It has been in downpours. It has sat in hot cars, cold cars, damp cars. It has been outside in snow storms here in New England. It has been to Iceland. Recently it took a trip to the deserts of the American southwest where it was exposed to 115 degree heat.
Only once did I experience some battery problem but it turned out to be the inexpensive third-party i.e. unofficial off brand battery grip I was using.
After five years of heavy use, I kind of expected this camera to live out it’s usefulness but it still continues to work and produce great images.
