Pinball Machines Currently For Sale

Between the two of us, the following pinball machines are available for purchase or trade. Delivery and set up available within the local area.

Bally “Sky Kings”

Single-player, reverse wedge head game from 1974. Sky Kings features a family-friendly, goofy sky diving theme with great artwork.

Fun backglass on Sky Kings

The playfield features three lanes, one with a kick-out hole and two pop bumpers and a fun spinner with accompanying lights that count the number of spins – ten spins earn a notch up on the bonus ladder.

One of the most unique features is the two captive balls. Hit them hard enough and they shoot up and hit a target.

This game can be set to earn extra balls (one per turn i.e. “shoot again”) or converted to “add a ball” in which you can rack up 10 balls. A simple jones plug can switch back and forth between the two modes.

Add-a-ball games were typically found in states which did not allow games to payout with free games and only allowed players to win extra balls.

Game Design by Jim Patla. Artwork by Dick White. Only 2,000 “Sky Kings” pinball machines were ever made.

Great spinner and unique captive ball targets plus top lanes, kickout hole, two pop bumpers and more!

“I really enjoy this game. It’s simple (as most EMs are) but has a couple of satisfying shots, the best of which is the center spinner. The art work on the back glass is very vibrant and fun to look at.”

Bally “CAPTAIN FANTASTIC AND THE BROWN DIRT COWBOY”

1976 EM, very risque, some are edited with well-placed stars over certain exposed female body parts.

‘Capt. Fantastic’ was inspired by the movie ‘Tommy’ and includes a representation of Elton John, as his character from the movie, playing pinball on the backglass. The game name, however, is the title of Elton John’s 1975 autobiographical song and album where “Captain Fantastic” was Elton and “The Brown Dirt Cowboy” was his then-lyricist Bernie Taupin. Included in the song lyrics are the words “From the end of the world to your town” which appear at the very top center of the backglass.

Tom Nieman, VP of Marketing for Bally Pinball, tells us the flyer was made while Elton was recording a new album in Canada. For this flyer, a game was shipped to the Toronto hotel where Elton was staying. That is why he is shown wearing a Canadian hockey jersey. Elton then asked Nieman to send a game to his various residences and one to his “mum” in the UK.

1993 Gottlieb Wipe Out – SOLD

In 1993 the newest way to shred snow – snowboarding caught the attention of the mainstream skiers and attracted the attention of the skateboarding and surfing crowd.

Gottlieb’s “Wipe Out” captures the snowboarder/surfer vibe combining surf music, surfer dude call-outs, and the mechanical action of a ski life and slalom course.

“Wipeout” is a skiing holiday packed inside a pinball game. Loaded with fun features including Winter Slalom and Ski Lift, Wipeout was designed by Ray Tanzer, with artwork by David Moore, Constantino and Jean Mitchell, and manufactured by Premier/Gottlieb in 1993.

The game takes place on a split-level playfield. One special component is the belt-driven Ski Lift – load the pinball into the lift to access the upper playfield, before coming back down the player-controlled tilting Winter Slalom course and scoring even more points.

In the video you might notice the ball on the ski lift doesn’t get off the lift until the next ball comes up — I had the backlegs up on a pinball mover! Oops – Angle was too much.

FEATURES:
– Fast three-ball Multiball modes.
– Two flippers, two ramps and three bumpers.
– Four drop targets for extra points.
– Moving Ski Lift feature for upper playfield access.
– Tilting Winter Slalom feature for extra points.
