Friday night cocktail!
This Friday marks the week of the sun`s return to my morning routine. Bright rays have been awakening earlier and earlier as we move towards Spring, and at last their cheerful glow has met my daily coffee.
Hooray!
We’re toasting the sun`s morning kiss with a Port au Prince cocktail, a spicy drink from tropical climates.
Its mellow rum foundation is peppered with the flavors of clove and ginger, balancing the sweetness of pineapple. Delicious.
Make one yourself!
- 1/2 oz fresh lime juice
- 1/2 oz pineapple juice
- 1/4 oz Demerara syrup
- 1 dash grenadine
- 1/2 oz Falernum syrup
- 1 1/2 oz cane coffey still aged rum
- 1 dash bitters
Add all the ingredients to a drink mixer tin. Fill with crushed ice; shake thoroughly and open pour into a footed glass. Hipa Hipa!
