Two old rockers. Found these two old rocking chairs in a 100 year old farmers cottage that we rented on Prince Edward Island.
The cottage was purchased and moved to the edge of a wheat field over looking a pink sandstone bluff over looking the ocean.
With a lighthouse in the distance at the edge of the tilled soil and another one to the south, the cottage was perfectly position for a week at the shore.
Prince Edward Island is a great place to unwind. Plenty of warm, red sand beaches, offshore breezes and a lot of lighthouses to find and explore.
Then of course there is the fresh seafood – lobsters, fish, oysters and mussels. All served with endless french fries from the island’s potato farmers.
The lobster season is in the spring so if you visit in the summer time there are plenty of lobster boats waiting to be chartered for some deep sea fishing.
Anne of Green Gables, the beloved book, is of course a big draw from many fans. Interestingly, a large portion of tourists looking for Anne come from Japan.
If you look carefully around the island, sometimes you can even spot her.
