The last time I was in Chicago I nearly froze to death walking down the Miracle Mile. In town on business, dressed in business attire, my sister met me and took me around for a tour.
I got about three blocks before I had to duck into a Gap and buy some long johns.
Years later I had a few days to explore Chicago in the wet spring. A light drizzle followed me as I explored the iconic spots along the waterfront and the loop. I was fascinated by the elevated trains and spent a lot of time watching and filming the action on the loop from a four-story parking garage.
Making my way around the river front, watching the endless Architectural Boat Tours go by, I managed to get the same views from the boardwalk.
