Let’s face it. Breakfast is the best meal of the day. Why else would restaurants and diners paint “BREAKFAST SERVED ALL DAY” on the side of their buildings?
Breakfast for dinner. Breakfast for lunch. Breakfast for after clubs close their doors. Breakfast for breakfast. All-day, 24 hours a day, breakfast is what we want.
And what is the perfect breakfast? What menu item perfectly encapsulates all the ingredients of the perfect meal? Why the breakfast sandwich of course.
Either a bagel sandwich with layers of egg, bacon and cheese or the spill-proof, perfectly portable, one hand on the steering wheel or coffee to-go cup – it’s South of the Border brother from another mother, the Breakfast Burrito.
Egg, sausage, potato and cheese elegantly wrapped and folded into portable one-handed perfection.
What is it we think about each night as our heads hit the pillow? That first sip of hot coffee and the savory taste of bacon, the soft pillow of scrambled eggs, the sharp tang of cheddar, and that buttery toast. Mmmmm, breakfast!
