One of the perks about being a member on Fine Art America and Pixels is the ability to blog and create press releases on the platform.
Unfortunately finding the Fine Art America press release page takes a lot of effort. It’s buried on the site and very hard to discover. Perhaps because most of time the artist written press releases are poorly written and formatted and a lot of spammers have exploited the press release feature.
The Fine Art America and Pixels artist supplied press release page can be found here: https://fineartamerica.com/pressreleasedirectory.html

The Fine Art America and Pixels sites say the following about Press Releases:
Have you been in the news recently? Do you want to announce a new release or a site-wide pricing discount?
Fine Art America allows you (STET) post an unlimited number of press releases on our press release page.
We
https://fineartamerica.com/tour/marketing-and-promotiongets (STET) millions of visitors each month from buyers all over the world. Those millions of visitors can now see your press releases. You’re no longer issuing press releases to just your friends and family… you’re issuing them to millions and millions of visitors on the world’s largest art site!
But there doesn’t seem to be any distribution beyond the site itself. It’s not like the press releases are being distributed to the press in any way. So I guess your release is basically being found by Google and random other artists who happen to find the press release page.

Title
Description
Place
Date and Time
Address
Contact details
Image if you are given an area for one.
Press release should be written in the third person, such as “Photographer Edward Fielding Awarded Photographer of the Year by Canon” or something like that.
They should also be written in the style of a newspaper article. Newspaper articles are written in such as way that an editor can lop off less important information at the bottom if they need to fit the article into a smaller space in the paper.
Put a summary of the most important information in the first sentence and the first paragraph. Then go into more detail in the body of the press release.
Keep the language short and to the point. Don’t wander off on tangents or try to be cute. Include a few quotes to make things interesting.
