Anderson Pond – You’d think living on the edge of a small kettle pond in the foothills of the White Mountains of New Hampshire would be rather uneventful but we do see a lot.
Birds from great blue heron, to bald eagles, owls, woodpeckers, geese, ducks, songbirds.
Each summer we get box turtles and snapping turtles in our driveway digging in the gravel to lay eggs.
We have walkers who go by daily with their dogs along the path around the pond granted by a right of way.
We get an occasional deer, fox, fisher cat, porcupine, skunk and even a bear from time to time.
But probably the strangest sight we see on a regular basis is one of our neighbors cruising around the pond on his electric kayak in his bright white terry cloth bathrobe!
