Does size determine a waterfall’s worth?
I’ve photographed waterfalls from Hawaii to Iceland, from the largest waterfalls in the world to the smallest little trickles from a little mountain stream in some no name corner of New Hampshire.
I’ve photographed water falling from mighty glaciers at the top of the world to rivulets of water falling from a passing tropical rainfall.
Heck, I’ve even photographed fake waterfalls at mini-golf courses in Florida where the land naturedly never rise to the point of creating a waterfall.
Waterfalls running under covered bridges in Vermont. Waterfalls carving gorges through the forest in New Hampshire, waterfalls creating a fairy like wonderland in upstate New York. Waterfalls inspiring honeymooners around the world to tiny waterfalls here today in the spring rains, gone tomorrow in the summer drought.
Waterfalls are an exciting expression of nature. A burst of activity, sound and fury and power. Waterfalls hit you before you even get close with droplets of water, mist and their roar.
